Loyalty Program Settings

There are some global loyalty program settings that you can make.

  1. From the admin menu, click Settings > Loyalty points.
  2. Apply the values ​​you want according to your business needs.
  3. Click Save.

Settings Explanation

Points per major currency unit:
Here you define the amount of points that correspond to a major currency unit. That is, if you set the value to 10, each euro of purchase will reward 10 points.

Reward amount per 100 major currency units:
This setting simplifies your program strategy by defining the amount that will be given as a discount for every 100 euros that your customers spend. That is, if you set the value to 1, your customers earn a discount of 1 euro for every 100 euros of purchase.

Points expire after N days:
Here you define the duration in days that the points are available. Where N is the number of days.

Example of strategy

Example of purchases with the following prices:

  • Points per major currency unit: 100
  • Amount of reward per 100 major currency units: 2.5
  1. A new customer participating in the program makes a purchase of 300 €.
  2. His purchase is rewarded with 34000 points.

The 34000 points are converted, according to the above settings, into 7.5 €

  1. The customer proceeds to the next purchase of 150 €.
  2. He has the option to apply a points discount of 7.5 € and pay 142.5 €, nullifying his points.
  3. With the new purchase, he redeems his existing points and earns 14250 new points.

Redemption protection

By default, there is a limitation on the application of a discount, which stipulates that the purchase amount (total products in the cart) must be double the amount of the discount applied.
