Product settings

There are some global product settings you can make.

Product Settings

  1. From the admin menu, click Settings > Products.
  2. Apply the prices you want according to your business needs.
  3. Click Save.

Settings Explanation

Number of days products are considered new:
When you add a product to your store, it is considered a new product and a label with the word new appears on the catalog pages that the user sees. This setting defines how many days the product will be considered new and this label will be displayed.

Low stock warning when quantity is lower than:
Displays a low stock warning on the product page when the product quantity is lower than or equal to the value of this setting.

Allow purchase of out-of-stock products:
With this setting you can define whether products whose quantity is zero (out of stock) can be ordered by your customers. In essence, it allows pre-ordering of products.

Lock order quantity to that of the product:
With this setting you can define the limit of the quantity that the user can put in their cart. For example, if you only have 2 pieces of a product, then the user will not be able to choose more than 2 in the quantity.

Allow creation of products with the same name:
For reasons of better appearance in search engine results, it is preferable to have product titles (names) that differ in their words. However, in the case that you want to add many codes where the products are basically the same, you can set this setting to Yes to allow products with the same title/name.

Show similar products on the product page:
Each product can have similar products, which are displayed as a list on the corresponding product page. This helps the user see other options related to the product they want to buy. With this setting you define whether they will be displayed on the product pages.

Show SKU on product page:
With this setting you can allow the product's SKU to be displayed on its page. In many product categories, the SKU helps customers refer to it.

Show Brand on Product Page:
With this setting you can allow the product's brand to be displayed on its page.

Default Product Weight (kg)
With this setting you set a weight value that will apply to all your products, when a specific value has not been set for each of them. The value you set concerns the weight of a product.

Default Product Sorting
With this setting you set the default sorting of products on catalog pages.

Number of products per column on catalog pages (desktops):
This setting and the next two, concern the alignment of products in catalog lists. The value determines how many products will be displayed in each row on large screens, such as computers.

Number of products per column on catalog pages (mobile):
The value determines how many products will be displayed in each row on small screens, i.e. mobiles and tablets.

Number of rows on catalog pages:
The value determines how many rows of products will be displayed. If you have selected 3 products per column and 4 rows, then each page will display
