Product images

Images are the cornerstone of your store. Your product images can be used in many places on your store, including featured products on your homepage and catalog pages. To create a consistent experience on these pages, consider the aspect ratio of your images when uploading them.

When your product images are displayed side by side, they often have different sizes. Make sure that the images you add as featured images are cropped to a consistent aspect ratio. So, if you want all of your product images to appear as fixed-size squares, save them all with a 1:1 aspect ratio.

Your product images can be any size up to 2048x2048 pixels. Images must be less than 5MB in file size to be added to Shopie. High-resolution photos look more professional to your customers. For square product images, 1024x1024 pixels usually looks best.

When you add an image, Shopie automatically creates different sizes for use in different areas of the store. For example, a large version of a product image can be used on the product detail page, where the customer wants to see the product in detail. A smaller version of the same image can be used in catalog listings, where a larger image is not required.

Import images

Make sure you have added your product categories before you proceed to import products.

1. From the management menu, click Products > New Product.
2. In the Images section, click the Upload button.
3. Navigate to the folder where you have saved the product images.
4. Select the images and close the window by clicking the Import or Open button.
5. The images will be uploaded and displayed in the Images section.
6. Set the name or title of the product, along with any other details you want.
7. Click Submit.
